The other night I got mistaken for a Whole Foods employee. By a real Whole Foods employee. I wasn’t mistaken for any particular employee. I guess that the woman behind the bread counter has just seen me so often over the last year and a half that she figured I worked there.
Perhaps its time to make dinner at home more often.

That passed the spell checker without any corrections, first time out. A minor victory, yes – but noteworthy in its rarity

Cleaning out the phone cam. I took this one at the mall in Vienna, WV after seeing “Cheaper by the Dozen 2″. Drew and Julie are wonderful kids

… you don’t have the right to be a douchebag.
Ok, this is a old picture. Old by web standards – I think I took it back in November. Martha and I went to the mall to get some lunch and we parked way in the back next to this clear conspicuous car.
The driver had choosen to take up two spots by parking diagonally across the space dividing line. You might be feeling sympathetic for the driver, thinking that he (or she) must have been afraid that someone would park too close and ding the door. Well I counter that by saying this: “If you own a Lamborghini, why the hell are you hanging out at the friggin’ mall?”
I think I’ve made my point

Like a women’s network’s scorn. I woke up to my preset alarm clock radio station and heard a commericial. Apparently, DISH network has stopped carrying Lifetime TV. I’ve seen instances of this before where the tv network calls for viewers to write their provider and request that the network be added back to the line up.
Not this time.
On this commercial Lifetime TV was telling viewers to switch as soon as possible. The announcer had a pleasent enough tone to her voice, but the words were really strong. Theres a press release on the Lifetime TV website that offers some more options, including sending a note to DISH network, but the commercial wasn’t quite as flexible.
It caught me off gaurd, but I was really glad to hear it. Aside from the occasional episode of Golden Girls or The Nanny, I don’t watch Lifetime so I’m not interested in whether is on the air or not. I am glad to see that Lifetime is fighting. We all know how ineffective letters can be – I’ve called Time Warner a couple of times already to try and get Bravo added to the Chapel Hill line up. Ironically enough they have it in Carrboro, the next town over.
So to Lifetime I say – You go girlfriend. Kick DISH network right in the nuts.
